Farmkey this weekend

I have finally got around to making an appointment to having the little man branded now he is a touch older. He is booked in for this weekend . I'm hoping he will be ok to have his personal brand of CWK1  and not be too upset for him to go on to have the microchip brand as well.

Well, come on, to me, he is priceless lol. It will give us more peace of mind knowing he is done and knowing I can show he is also microchipped for any would be thieves. He is a very sought after colour and type, more so being entire! So cant wait really for him to mature. This means I'm going to have to mark his new rugs too, he has some of the older rugs postcoded so they dont get stolen off his back but this time I can have his freezebrand put on.

Changing the subject ; our eldest has set off today to Germany going the Calaise route, however, there has been a strike on in France this past week so I'm not sure how she will be affected by this on her Journey by car and ferry. I do believe that the truck drivers in France were doing a long ultra slow convoy to stop roads functioning? This is the same eldest that got stranded previously in one of her trips to Germany by the volcano erruption. It gave her a different look to her Germany visit that she doesnt normally see, this wasn't a Journey where she was checking out gorgeous neds for a change, this was a working visit as a breaker/trainer for a massive yard in Germany.

I dont really have any other news, I have an update on Honey though; her lovely loan family have sent me some pictures of her this week, telling me they now have lessons each week and are doing lots of work, just what I like to hear .

My thoughts are with my lovely blacksmith who has suffered a sudden bereavement, my sympathies are with him, I know only fine well what a sudden loss can do to a persons morale and feelings.So thought I would put that here in my blogg.
